For Creença, Sebas Velasco and Zoer explore the satirical perspective of human ability through automotive achievement. The car as icon, destroyer and more presently; the belief in the surreal vision of the car in a seemingly  impossible display at Konvent. 

 

On the one hand, the car and the freedom it represents is a testament to a human ability to create magic as a result of technological progress. As one of the most powerful creations of the 20th Century, automotive devises can be seen as contemporary relics and as technology continues to advance; monuments to our modern mythologies. They can become second homes or cultural vectors. The car offers a level of accessibility with freedom and geography, however we cannot forget that the notion of travel with a car belongs to a social elite and that freedom and the exploration of territories is not available to all. 

 

With an empiric vision and a belief in instinctive human exchange to create and enhance clouds of thinking; Sebas and Zoer’s spontaneous collaboration pushes the boundaries of what is possible by presenting a car which seems to have fallen from the sky. The context for display transforms the utilitarian machine to an object of adoration. Its imperfections and scars remind us of its once functional purpose.

Pour Creença, Sebas Velasco et Zoer ont exploré l'aspect satirique des capacités humaines au travers de l'automobile. La voiture comme icône, détruite et présentement ; la croyance en l'image surréelle d'une voiture qui ne pourrait apparemment pas être exposée dans cette salle de Konvent. 

 

Sur la toile, la voiture et la liberté qu'elle incarne témoignent de la capacité des hommes à conférer un aspect magic au progrès technologique. Etant l'une des inventions majeures du XX siècle,  l'automobile est envisagée comme une relique contemporaine au fil de la progression de la technologie ; un monument de la mythologie moderne. Elle incarne un autre habitat, un vecteur culturel. La voiture offre un certain niveau d'accessibilité, de liberté, d'exploration géographique, cependant il ne faut pas oublier que cette notion de voyage appartient à une certaine partie de la population, cette liberté et l'exploration du territoire n'est pas donné à tout le monde.

Avec cette vision empirique et la foi dans les échanges humains pour créer et améliorer les courants de pensées; cette collaboration spontanée entre Sebas et Zoer repousse les frontières des possibles par la représentation d'une voiture qui semble tombée du ciel. L'exposition transforme l'objet utilitaire en un objet d'adoration. Ses imperfections et ses cassures nous rappellent sa fonction initiale.
